1.  Marty danced outside in a hail storm .

Marty was part of a dance group, and knew his boss would fire him if he stopped in the middle of the show, even if the hail turned golfball sized.
Marty was outside practicing dancing when it started to hail, and decided to keep dancing anyway.
Marty was participating in a religious ritual, and was nude, too. 

2.  Daniel rode a tortoise to work yesterday.

Daniel was a researcher, and was demonstrating the trainability of great sea turtles.
Daniel was a small parasite, and his work was finding something in the pond to infect.
Daniel did way too much acid during that morning's commute.  His boss later fired him for thinking a customer was a reindeer.

3.  Sandy ate the orange peel, but not the inside .

Sandy had shaved the peel into her dessert putting, and was eating the pudding.
Sandy liked the taste of orange peels.
Sandy was an insect in the compost bin, and someone ate the insides of the orange before throwing the peel away.

4.  Caroline flavored her garbage with perfume and ate it for lunch .

Caroline was demonstrating how much food is thrown away or wasted by american families, and was eating the leftovers.
Caroline was on the losing end of a wager, a mistake she will not repeat.
Caroline was mentally disturbed, and needs professional help before she gets to the rest of the garbage.

5.  Ashley took chocolate chips out of her ice cream and pasted them in her scrapbook .

Ashley was at an ice cream parlor with her friends, and wanted something as a physical reminder of the time they were spending together.
Ashley was a collector of ice cream ingredients, and was cataloging a variety of chocolate she hadn't seen before.
Ashley was allergic to chocolate, and had ordered an ice cream with no chocolate, and was saving them as evidence for her upcoming lawsuit.

1.  Emily took a bath in a tub full of spaghetti .

Emily was doing a photo-up for a cover of a punk record album.
Emily was an actor in a movie, and was escaping the explosion of alien guts.
Emily had a very odd fetish.

2.  The church built a handicapped access ramp with Legos .

The church was showing the public what the new ramp would be like, using a small-scale model.
The church was The Church of Lego of the Latter Day Mini-figures, and like all other parts of their buildings, legos were the construction material of choice.
The church did not agree with handicap access laws, and was intentionally acting in a farcical fashion. 

3.   Dan washed his hair with ketchup .

Dan had been swimming in a pool with too much copper in the water, and was trying to get his hair back to blonde.
Dan had been in a close encounter with a skunk, and wanted to try getting the smell out before his wife got home.
Dan was Emily's partner (see question #1), and was part of any of the three reasons Emily was bathing with spaghetti.

4.  Jennifer tried to correct a mistake in an article she wrote on-line with White-Out .

Jennifer had printed the article out to give to someone, then noticed the typo, and it was too late to re-print it.
Jennifer had absolutely no clue how computers worked, and thought she had to white-out her screen to fix it.
Jennifer thought that if adding black boxes to the end of PDF files to cover up sensitive information was good 'nuff for gubb'ment work, she should do the same to fix typos. 

5.  Bill rubbed marigold oil on the screen of his wide screen tv .

Bill was trying to convert a matte finish screen into a gloss finish screen.
Bill read some hippie magazine article that marigold oil blocked dangerous radiation, written by a crackpot with a tinfoil hat, and believed it.
Bill was polishing the case of the tv, accidentally got some on the screen, and was trying to get it off by rubbing it.

Lois wanted translucent/swirled coloring.
Lois was worried about spilling the paint, and wanted to be somewhere where it would wash off easily.
Lois was actually Lou, and he didn't want people knowing he was becoming a she, and didn't want the paint to stay on. 

2.  Elton boiled a breakfast egg and then put it on the floor to step on it .

Elton caught the egg on fire, and was trying to stomp it out.
Elton saw a roach had landed on his breakfast, and was trying to kill it.
Elton read a home improvement article which said egg could be used to remove stains, or at least that's what he thought it said.

3.   Justin drove his car into a river of lava .

Justin drove a remote-control research vehicle into the lava to collect a sample.
Justin was trying to escape a volcanic eruption, and drove too fast around a corner where he couldn't see what was ahead.
Goodbye, cruel world,...  (Justin removed himself from the gene pool)

4.  All the skiers wore Star Wars costumes on the slopes on New Year's .

It was a star wars themed new year's ski party.
A ski fanatic and a star wars fanatic were getting married.
It was a rehearsal for a ski action scene in a sci-fi movie, and they were re-using props until the costume department had the proper ones made up.

5.  Linda brushed her teeth with black ink . 

It was Halloween, and Linda wanted to be scary.
Linda's little brother had filled Linda's toothpaste tube with black ink as revenge for not letting him have more cookies, and Linda didn't notice until looking in the mirror afterwards.
Linda was a Goth, and thought it would be cool.
